Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Minister of Religion to serve our community through spiritual leadership and guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering sermons, providing pastoral care, and fostering a welcoming environment for congregants. This role offers an opportunity to inspire and support individuals in their spiritual journeys while actively engaging with community activities. The position is paid and requires a commitment to uphold the values and teachings of our faith.

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging sermons and religious services that resonate with diverse audiences
- Provide pastoral care, counselling, and support to individuals and families within the community
- Organise and lead evangelism outreaches within the local community
- Facilitate educational programmes, including teaching religious classes and organising community events
- Act as care taker of the church premises.
- Supporting and managing volunteers while coordinating church services and events
- Offer guidance on moral and ethical issues in accordance with religious doctrines
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages participation and spiritual growth
- Collaborate with community organisations to promote social cohesion and support initiatives aligned with faith principles
Qualifications
- Proven experience in public speaking, teaching, or related roles within a religious setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse groups of people
- Background or training in religious studies or theology is preferred
- Must have driving experience of manual vehicles
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Previous experience in community engagement or outreach programmes is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,420 – £26,000 per year
